end of an era

Jalen is now a toddler. A baby can achieve toddler status as soon as he/she starts to walk or reaches the one-year mark. Jalen has reached both milestones so it's official to me. One year has gone by so quickly that it's almost upsetting. After reviewing this blog from the beginning and reliving the past year, I can honestly say that Jalen has been everything that we could have ever wanted in a baby. He's made our first year of parenting reasonably easy. And now it's time to move on because the baby I spent a year writing about is no more. After all, can a baby feed himself scrambled eggs in the morning with a fork? Well, I guess it is possible, but it just goes to show how far Jalen has come. I still cannot believe our baby is one!
